The 2023 MacBook Air (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of our favorite laptops this year. This is the same model as last year’s, but has a 10-core M2 processor and an excellent six-speaker sound system. It is fast for most normal work and can handle some heavier tasks.
The 9th-Generation iPad is the best iPad for many people, even though it’s one generation behind. Aside from costing less than the more current 10th-gen model, it’s compatible with all the same accessories (including the first-gen Apple Pencil) and retains the physical Home button at the bottom of the screen with Touch ID.
The 11-inch iPad Pro (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is what we call the ultimate iPad. It’s the most powerful iPad but not the most economical. It packs the same powerful M2 processor that’s in the newest Macbook Air, an excellent screen with 120-Hz Pro Motion for extra smooth animation, Face ID, and four high-quality speakers. This is the iPad that you need if you are looking for more power or luxury. The iPad Pro is on sale, if you need more screen space. It has a screen that’s mini-LED.
The Roku Plus Series is the best entry level TV recommendation. It supports smart home control made by Apple, Amazon’s Amazon’s echo, andGoogle Assistant and it has a QLED display. It’s not the flashiest TV, but for its price, it’s hard to beat.
The Frame TV is supposed to disappear into your home’s decor when you’re not using it. You can change the look of the art and photos it displays when it’s not in use. This is close to the lowest price we’ve seen it at, and it’s reaching the price of more typical TVs.
The JBL Bar 1300X ($980$, WIRED Recommendations): An Extremely Low-Cost Soundbar with Detachable Speakers
The old model was recently replaced, and this is still a good deal. This device is one of the best 4k streaming devices and the price matches a record we have never seen before. If you’re fully entrenched in Amazon, it’s a good deal.
The JBL Bar 1300X (8/10, WIRED Recommends) comes with detachable wireless speakers. You can pop off the two speakers on the side of the main soundbar and place them wherever you’d like without having to worry about whether there are power outlets nearby or having to hide cables. It also has some of the best Dolby Atmos immersion we’ve heard from a soundbar at this price. The only downside is that, without cables, you’ll have to charge the speakers between uses.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 is the top pick for most people. There is a dual-core Intel processor, eight gigabytes of RAM, and a 128-gigabyte hard drive in it. It doesn’t have any of the flashy hinges or tablet hybrid features of its siblings, but it’s a solid all-around laptop, and even comes with a magnetic charger, so you don’t fling it across the room if you trip on the power cord.

Folding Flip Phone: The Best Way to Get the Most Out of Your Smartphone and into the Amazon Fire, Or Why Amazon Hasn’t It Been So Popular?
TheFold phone has a larger cover screen that you can do more on without having to open it. If you and/or someone you know frequently complain about how largephones are these days, a folding flip phone might be the answer. Read our review for more information.
The standard Kindle is iconic for a reason. The cheapest of our favorite Kindles, the model in 2022, is the smallest. It has twice as much storage and a sharper display than the previous model, it also has a 6-inch screen, so the text should be more legible.
The ebook fans will be satisfied by the Kindle Oasis. The aluminum design and buttons to turn the pages make it look easy to look at on the eyes. This model is not very new by this point and probably due for an update, but its price is more appealing because of this sale.
The WIRED recommends the fourth-gen Amazon Echo for most people. (Despite a 5th-gen Echo Dot, this is the latest version of the flagship speaker.) It has a spherical design, improved sound drivers, and better audio quality and speech recognition compared to previous generations of Echo.
The Fire Max 11 (5/10, WIRED Review) is Amazon’s biggest, nicest, and most overpriced Fire tablet. This deal makes it much more palatable. The display and new fingerprint sensor are nice, as is the ability to use the keyboard without resorting to bluetooth, but the Fire OS operating system leaves much to be desired (like a decent app store). If you are planning on buying a Fire tablets and want a big display, then this isn’t a bad deal.

The WIRED WF 1000XM5 & GoPro Hero11 Wireless Headphones Bundle for Office and Homework Streaming
While its predecessor was one of the best pairs of wireless earbuds around, the WF1000XM5 (7/10, WIRED Recommends) is still no slouch. They are comfortable to wear and have active noise cancellation. The ANC is used for up to eight hours on a single charge, but is not used for more than 12 hours.
We like Sony’s standard LinkBuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) for its open-ear design that allows you to hear what’s going on around you. If you do a lot of city walking, or use your earbuds and need to be aware of your surroundings, these are a great option.
These noise-cancelling headphones are our favorite for the office. With advanced signal processing and four microphones built in, these will limit any sound around you, making them great for focusing on work in a busy environment and for Zoom calls. We think it’s a great deal, as they fluctuate in price often.
The GoPro Hero11 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite action camera. It can capture up to 5.3K video, and has fun shooting modes that make getting light trails easy. This bundle comes with the Hero11, a carrying case, vertical mounting bracket, and a battery grip/mini-tripod.
The microphones and theWebcam seem like they would do well together. Both have places in our top microphone and top webcam guides. They have become the standard for entry in the streaming and podcast space due to their high quality and low overhead. And now you can grab them both at the same time.

The Barista Touch, the Breville Impression, and the Sony E-Mount Lens for a Full-Coffee Kitchen
Sony’s A7 is a generation behind, but it still does a fantastic job. It has excellent dynamic range and phase-detection autofocus that’s responsive enough to nab those fast-paced shots. This deal is only for the body, so it’s ideal for anyone that already has a collection of Sony E-Mount lenses.
The KitchenAid Stand Mixer is a godsend of a kitchen gadget. There is plenty of room for mixing, kneading, or beating a wide variety of ingredients in the 5-quart bowl. Even though it’s on sale, it’s still worth the price since it’s built to last.
Precision cookers—or sous vide, if you’re feeling fancy—let you cook food with a much higher degree of control than you might be used to. You can cook a lot of food, or just use bags and containers of water. It’s a handy addition to a kitchen, and it’s one of our favorites.
The Barista Touch has everything you need to turn your kitchen into a coffee shop. The built-in burr grinder and hot water spout are controlled by a digital display that lets you dial in your brews. The Touch will make a latte if you tap the Latte button. If you feel lazy, this is a great option as it does not take as long as you can do by hand.
The Breville Impress (6/10, WIRED Review) allows budding baristas to make good to very good espresso right out of the box. Breville has done a great job of explaining the espresso-making process. The downside is that we found a good bit of variation from shot to shot.

A Review of Top Robot Vacuums: Shark AI Ultra, Amazfit Band 7 and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is our favorite vac-mop combo in our Best Robot Vacuums guide. It does a thorough job of scrubbing the floors, without getting the carpets wet, and it vacuums well. It uses laser navigation and an easy to use app to let you divide your vacuuming and mopping zones.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is an excellent turn-based strategy game that pairs classic Mario characters with the chaotic Rabbids for an encore performance.
Cuphead, the GameCube, and Metroid Fusion: Unveiling God’s Law in a High-Density Third-Person Action
While Ragnarök’s third-person action gameplay feels similar to its predecessor, its story is far more ambitious. Kratos is trying to convince his son Atreus not to follow a path that will lead to his godhood. Read our review.
The PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller is a budget-minded wired controller for Xbox and PC that connects via Micro USB and features two customizable buttons on its rear. It’s offered in many different colors and licensed designs.
The GameCube series is the fifth mainline entry. The sequel to Game Boy Advance title Metroid Fusion is a 2D side-scroller. Read our review.
Cuphead is a stylish and fun game that is inspired by old cartoons of the 1930s. It has a high skill ceiling and little room for error. The Nintendo Switch cartridge version includes the Delicious Last Course DLC expansion, adding Ms. Chalice as a playable character.
