Stormy Daniels isn’t convinced by Trump’s indictment

She can’t tell the tale of Donald J. Trump and his hush money backreaction on a Manhattan grand jury probe: A conversation with Bethe Daniels

Daniels said she was prepared to testify in the Manhattan grand jury probe but was never asked. She said she’d like to testify if the case goes to trial, but it won’t happen until late winter or spring 2024.

They called me in and put me on the stand so that they could read my story. And if they don’t, it almost feels like they’re hiding me,” Daniels told TalkTV’s Morgan in an interview that aired Thursday. People assume that she must not be a good witness and she is not credible.

The former president pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to 34 counts of falsifying business records. Trump hid reimbursements for hush money payments as part of a “catch and kill” plot, according to the Manhattan district attorney’s office.

“And nobody should be untouchable. It doesn’t matter if you’re the president or not. Like you should be held responsible for your actions,” she said.

Though Daniels had not testified before the grand jury that investigated the hush-money scheme, she said in 2021 that she would “love nothing more than” to be interviewed as part of the probe.

Herattorney said that the book was designed to prove her story about having sex with Trump was true, despite it being in a tell-all book.

Daniels told Morgan that threats aimed at her from Trump supporters are now “way more specific and graphic,” and much more serious than they were in the past.

They are more passionate, I think that is a good word. Enthusiastic with their actions. And they’re not hiding. They feel like they are doing something right. That they are the patriots,” Daniels said.

She said that part of the change is that people are threatening each other from their online accounts rather than using their actual cell phone numbers.

A Conversation with Stormy Daniels on TalkTV’s Piers Morgan: “I Know Donald Trump isn’t going to lie”

In her first interview since the news of Donald Trump’s criminal indictment, Stormy Daniels said she’s still seeking a sense of vindication — but admits that feeling just may never come.

In a 90-minute interview on TalkTV’s Piers Morgan, Adult film actress Daniels talked about her strained relationship with her parents, as well as her reaction to the week’s news. The conversation was broadcasted Thursday on Morgan’s show.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, said she was riding her horse, aptly named Redemption, when her phone lit up with notifications telling her of Trump’s indictment. While initially thrilled to see the case taking steps forward, the next day felt “kind of anti-climactic,” she said. “I thought I would feel excited and vindicated.”

Seeing Trump convicted would “definitely be a giant step closer in that direction but I don’t think it’ll ever be 100%” because so many people are “unwilling to admit that they were wrong or that he lies,” she said.

“I believe that his crimes against me are not worthy of imprisonment, but I do believe that if he is found guilty, then absolutely,” Daniels said.

Trump is facing separate criminal investigations for allegedly pressuring Georgia to overturn the 2020 election results, interfering with the transfer of power and mishandling classified documents.

Defamation of Trump and the Manhattan DA’s Hate Match: Daniels’ Story and the Taxipayer’s Litigation

“It’s daunting, but I look forward to it,” she said. I don’t have to tell you who I am. I’m the only one who’s been telling the truth. You can’t shame me anymore.”

Daniels has said she had sex with Trump in a Texas hotel. But he later admitted he reimbursed Cohen for $130,000 in hush money payments.

The Manhattan DA’s case rests on the way the Trump organization recorded those payments. The hate messages Daniels receives personally have only gotten more vicious with the news of Trump’s indictment.

“They really feel like it’s my fault — That, you know, I’ve made America the laughingstock or I’m the fall of democracy. I wish I had that much power,” she said, confirming later in the interview that she was still a registered Republican.

Trump and his allies have said the charges are an act of political persecution by the district attorney’s office, which helped weaken the GOP’s chances of regaining the presidency.

When asked whether she was trying to derail Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, Daniels laughed. He does not need my help for that. He’s going to do that on his own,” she quipped.

There is a lawsuit pending in which Daniels stands to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars in Trump’s legal fees, because of a failed defamation suit.

In Daniels’ telling, she agreed to sell her story to In Touch magazine after one of the hundreds of people she’d told about the affair threatened to reveal it first.

She says Avenatti filed a defamation suit against Daniels. She eventually lost the case, with the judge ruling that Trump’s tweet was political rhetoric protected by the first amendment.
