Openai is letting anyone create their own version of it

Custom Instructions for OpenAI: How to Create an AI Bot with Prompts and Constraints? An Interview with Blaho

Since the start of the service, people have asked for ways to personalize it, according to a statement from Openai. In the summer of 2015, we launched Custom Instructions that let you set some preferences, but requests for more control kept coming. Many power users maintain a list of carefully crafted prompts and instruction sets, manually copying them into ChatGPT. GPTs now do all of that for you.”

Openai is planning to release a team subscription plan with flexible and annual options according to a new report. The Team plan has a range of features, such as unlimited high speed GPT-4 and four times longer context. The screenshot says it’s priced at $25 per user, per month. The nonannual option will cost $30 per month, with a three-user minimum.

A user called Choi posted a summary of the rumored updates a few days ago. This morning, SEO tools developer Tibor Blaho shared a video of the UI for the feature in action, showing a GPT Builder option that lets users enter a prompt — an example reads “make a creative who helps generate visuals for new products.” — to create a chatbot.

The bot can choose from a default language, tone, and writing style. Then, a tab with fields for naming, descriptions and giving instructions to the bot is called a “Configure” tab. Users can also upload files for a bespoke knowledgebase and toggle capabilities like web browsing and image generation. There’s also a box for adding custom actions to your chatbot.

ThePreview pane with a prompt box for testing theBot as it is edited is near the configure options. Braho posted a detailed breakdown of the GPT Builder in a LinkedIn post, as well.

The introduction of custom GPTs means that OpenAI is now competing with other AI bot platforms like Character. Meta and AI recently introduced a slew of their own personas in messaging applications. OpenAI isn’t against people building GPTs with human-like personas, but its platform is more utility focused than its competitors.

OpenAI’s interface lets you guide how you want a GPT to interact with people before you publish. The DevDay Event Navigator agent I saw during my demo was instructed to be helpful and concise and to avoid scheduling conflicts. A number of conversation starter questions were generated by OpenAI.
