Musk is being investigated over hisTwitter deal, that’s according to twitter.

Elon Musk’s $54 billion Twitter Purchase Will Disturb Twitter’s Legal Problems, a High-Tensor Judge ruled Thursday

Federal authorities are investigating Elon Musk in connection with his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, the social media platform said in a court filing Thursday.

In response to Twitter’s Thursday filing, Alex Spiro, Musk’s attorney, said it was designed to distract from Twitter’s own legal problems, which arose after the company’s former head of security, Peiter “Mudge” Zatko, accused Twitter of long-ignored security vulnerabilities in a whistleblower disclosure.

In July, Musk attempted to end the deal after he felt that the company misrepresented the number of fake andSPAM accounts on its platform. Musk was accused of using bots in order to get out of the deal because he was angry over the decline in the market.

Last week, Musk proposed purchasing the company at the original price of $54.20 per share. The judge overseeing the dispute later in the week ruled to pause the legal proceedings until Oct. 28 following a request from Musk.

The Federal Trade Commission is responsible for enforcing the terms of the consent order between Zatko and Twitter, but has not disclosed an investigation. The FTC would hold those executives personally accountable if it was determined they were responsible for legal violations, the chair of the agency has told Congress.

According to a filing fromTwitter, the company didn’t request Zatko to torch his own documents. “Twitter had no knowledge of Zatko’s notebooks and no idea what information they contained.”

The Twitter Files posts have also been damaging in other ways — in a few instances, incomplete censoring leaked contact info for politicians, Twitter employees, and Dorsey himself.

Any content produced by anyone for the internet should be permanent until the original author chooses not to use it, as was stated by an eyebrow-raising statement from Dorsey. He admits that this stance could create issues when it comes to illegal activity but says that the ideal situation would allow for far better solutions.
